Miguel Braceli is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection between art, architecture and education. His practice is focused on participatory projects in public space. Most of these projects have been large scale works, developed in Latin America, Europe and the United States. He has exhibited in galleries, biennials, and important group shows in Latin America, Europe, and the United States. Between them are Venice Biennale of Architecture, Iberoamerican Biennale of Architecture, ARCO Madrid, Pinta Miami, among other. Barceli’s collective performances have presented in Matadero Madrid, LABoral Art Center, the Museum of Contemporary Art MUAC UNAM with Hemispheric Institute NY, among others. His most recent recognitions include Leslie King Hammond Fellowship Award MICA (USA,2017), Young Artist Award of the Principality of Asturias (Spain, 2018), AICA International Artist award (2017) and AICA Emerging Artist award was bestowed on him by the International Association of Art Critics (Venezuela, 2014). Miguel Braceli is also Associate Professor in the Faculty of Architecture at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, and has led various participatory and educational projects with institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art New York (MoMA), the Museum of Fine Arts of Caracas, the Embassy of United States and the Embassy of Spain in Venezuela. He has been a visiting professor in Schools of Architecture from Umeå University in Sweden, Catholic University of Chile, and University of Zulia in Venezuela. He is currently a Fulbright Scholar living at working in the United States.
